For centuries dredging has been an activity closely associated with the Dutch. Over the years dredging has become increasingly important due to the growing scarcity of space, scaling up of operations in the transport world and the pursuit of a cleaner environment. It is an element of hydraulic engineering inextricably linked to the activities of Witteveen+Bos.
Dredging is the linking pin in the integrated projects undertaken by Witteveen+Bos. It is the most important activity for ensuring a project’s success, regardless of whether the project concerns land reclamation, port expansion, water bottom remediation or a sand extraction pit.
We advise our clients on the end-to-end project path all the way from planning, master plans, surveys and feasibility studies to designing, contract establishment and the supervision and evaluation of work. Our clients come from the public and private sectors. Contractors also use our knowledge as support in design and construct contracts, especially at the design stage.
