Information technology is used in projects within all the fields of work of Witteveen+Bos. IT is used principally to automate technical processes (process automation), control complex and often technical information flows (information management) and process spatial information in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
We combine knowledge and experience of water processes to make optimum use of process automation. We advise water managers on the use, development and management of information, information systems and technical ICT infrastructure. Hydro-informatics projects are set up to bundle IT knowledge and knowledge of water management.
We work on projects in various fields:
- projects of a strategic nature to harmonise the needs of an organisation with the use of automation systems in the near future. The result is a blueprint of the ICT for the coming years together with a plan of action
- drafting uniform functional and technical specifications for systems. This makes it easier to run construction projects and creates a uniform automation landscape
- projects related to the construction of assets and to specific ICT applications. This can be done in the form of overseeing the work or creating applications as an extension to our consultancy
- process and project management
